Pet peeve: Co-workers who clip their fingernails @ work

Perhaps I’m a shallow human-being, but listening to someone clip their fingernails while at work drives me absolutely nuts

Anyone else think that’s kinda nasty and inappropriate?  The first person to say “just put your headphones on” gets a swift kick to the teeth!

How about “just listen to your zune?”

    Yeah…exactly! 🙂

What about seeing people flossing at their desk?

Visually *more* disturbing, obviously, but it’s the “click click” of listening to nail clippers in the cube next door that really gets to me…

Remind me not to clip my nails where you work! ‘Cause last thing I need is some rather tall fella going apescat on me when I least expect it! I *need* my teeth!!

I work at Wal*Mart, so most of my pet peeves are kind of visual, such as when people who use chewing tobacco spit on our floors… yyyeah, it’s about as gross as you might think.

Totally agree. I cannot stand the sound of clippers or the thought of someone clipping their nails. Equally annoying is the sound of clippers on public transportation.
